Biography

Greyman-K is the alter ego of the italian pianist Adriano Segreto and it’s a project focused on ambient, experimental and piano-solo music. The compositions – or exposition, as he prefers to call his music relation with the world – it’s the attempt to describe the most intimate areas of the conscious by digging out the sounds that are buried into everyday life. The exposition is the unveiling of simple melodies, or single motives, that come out from the void, running away the high-tech velocity and the traffic noise then finding solution into long jam on synthesizers, like a stream of consciousness. The relation between ourself and the world describes the way we inhabit it, in the position of a lack of being which drives us through different and dangerous possibilities. The right exposition and experimentation on the piano leads the perception to touch the exact feeling of that lack. The infinite effort is the most appropriate description of ambient music, the connection between the world around us and the necessity to comprehend it.
