Ashya (pronounced "Asia") is a hip hop/pop/r&b singer and songwriter who was born in South Korea but moved to Los Angeles when she was 3 years old. Growing up as an Asian American in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles, Ashya struggled to find her place in society as an Asian immigrant. Through music she was able to overcome all discouragement to mold herself into the well-rounded person and artist she is today. Ashya takes the next step in her quest to be the breakthrough Asian American female artist.
