As a music producer for 12 years, Icy sees it as his mission to dive heads-on into the void of the unknowns, the fleeting mystical spaces in-between words and beyond regular sounds, and then come back to tell others what he saw. He uses ethereal soundscapes and textures the ear did not know it can enjoy, all packaged within beats that are universally groovy yet local in their feel & presence. His music is playful and introspective, carrying the danceability of EDM and the depth and psychedelia of experimental electronica. It is music that feels personal but also one that you can dance to; music to contemplate your place in the universe or entertain its absurdity and just dance to it. To date, Icy has released over 2 hours worth of music and produced over 20 original tracks. His latest 2021 album, Hawa w' Mayya - هوا و مَيّه has been well received by both listening fans and dancing ravers for its ability to take them in an introspective journey full of emotions, whether it is on a dance floor or during psychedelic meditative states. Icy performed his music live along side famous local nightlife names like The Disc Jockeys, O. Ezzo, Shiho and others. With music built with live performances in mind, he capitalizes on his collection of vintage and modern synthesizers, drum machines and his own visual art installations and light setups. His music is inspired by artists like Max Cooper, Nil Frahms, Kiasmos, Rival Consoles and Jon Hopkins.
