Hailing from the beautiful US Virgin Islands, Los Angeles based Singer-Songwriter Rozee comes from a background deeply rooted in Music. The daughter of a minister, and a self taught Pianist/organist, she learned the basics of pitch and harmonization at a very young age, which is very evident in her vocal style. She brings a smooth & sultry innocence to the Alternative Pop/R&B genre, along with folk and blues influences. Her sound is somewhat reminiscent of Sade in the early 90’s, and her powerhouse vocals remind you of those of 70’s Funk/Rock artists like Tina Turner and Donna Summer. Her writing style perfectly captures and helps to visualize life experiences in a timeless, almost enchanting manner. Rozee resides between Los Angeles & DC. She has performed at venues like The Hotel Cafe, House of Blues, Xen Lounge, The Canyon Club, & The Rose (Pasadena). Her debut EP "RETROSPECT" is set to be released in the Spring of 2019. The project is a "retrospective" journey through love, relationships and female empowerment. Production includes of influences including pop, soul, and rock with hints of Afro/Caribbean pop. In August 2019, Rozee was chosen by Ryan Tedder, Ester Dean and Shane McAnally as the winner on NBC Songland S1 Ep. 9, with Leona Lewis releasing the record "Solo Quiero (Somebody to Love)". The single shot to # on Latin Billboard and Apple Music Charts solidifying Rozee as a budding songwriter.
