Bolivian singer, actress and artist Alejandra Lanza formed TIMPANA in 2009, following the release of a debut album, Alma Perdida. Despite the shift in sound, Timpana’s identity has been consistent from the start, with roots firmly embedded in Bolivia, but with shoots being sent out to Mexico City, Berlin and other global outposts in search of like-minded souls that understand that nature and technology, that the ancient and the modern, do not need to be in conflict. This is where Primavera Anónima comes into the picture, a creative collective that has led turned Timpana into a Bolivian success story, achieving fruitful collabs with fantastic artists like Rodrigo Gallardo, Animales de Costumbres, Skatman, and Intiche. Timpana has toured European festivals in 2023 and is currently playing in Central America.
