REN is also known as “BALASUBAS”, he started his interest in RAP Music at the age of 13. As he desire to grow in this industry, he admired some of popular RAP artist in the Philippines like, Gloc 9 and late Francis M. Magalona. He surrounded himself with people and stuff who would motivate and ignite his passion. He loves to listen in PINOY RAP songs, which shown how patriotic he is. The 27-year old REN began his road to RAP Music industry by writing his own song, year 2018. He composed “Walang Respeto” which means “No Respect”. This original song caught praise to thousands of people who has passion in RAP Music. He published this song in his own YouTube channel and gained over 1 million views. Seeing that a lot people believing his talent, it made him more passionate to write and compose more songs. At his early stage as BALASUBAS, he published LIHAM, LITRATO, NNNA, PABALIK, BAHAGHARI, and LUMANG HARANA with over a hundred thousands of views on YouTube. In the middle of 2020, he was noticed by Andrew E and got an invitation to participate an event hosted by Andrew E. He became famous on his alter “BALASUBAS”, later then he decided to unmasked and introduced himself to the public as REN, which is now his stage name.
