As one of the strongest up & coming hip hop artists of the generation coming out of Portland, mixing his lyrical ability, dynamic flow, and wordplay, along with influential subject matter, Zae has the potential to be the breath of fresh air that rap has been missing. Keeping that Westcoast rap subjected with diversifying styles makes Zae a threat to be the hottest artist Oregon has ever seen. Born and raised on the Northeast side of Portland Oregon, Zae was inspired by the workings of Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Chance the Rapper, Logic, Joyner Lucas Lupe Fiasco, and many more. Since childhood, Zae was enthusiastic about writing lyrics and reciting verses of his favorite artists on a daily basis. After hearing Kendrick Lamar's Good Kid Maad City for the first time, he finally fell in love with rap music and all the different possibilities and creative storytelling endeavors it could hold. After spending the rest of high school learning to rap, he attended the University of Oregon, where he met other artists like Wynne & worked closely with Watrcup from the group Calabasas to perfect his craft. After college, upon releasing his first EP titled Too Little, he received positive reception from exceptional Westcoast artist WESTSIDE BOOGIE and from fans.
