Luyolo Joy a vocalist, song writer and a all rounder artist , was born in the Eastern Cape in a small village Nodfela in Strekspruit, were he spent his early years growing up and discovered he had a passion for music and the arts. He was then convinced by his mother at the early age to pursue music at the age of 14 years, while visiting he relatives in Gauteng, Sebokeng in the vaal, his cousin introduced him to Battle Kat a well sought after hip hop producer. Where he had the privilege to experience the studio and the music world for the first while recording his demo ''stars". After recording his demo with Battle Kat. The producer convinced him to work on his craft and finish his studies, but the calling was loud, after returning to the Eastern Cape after the school holidays. Luyolo Joy wanted to learn more about music and join his school choir in Strekspruit Chirstain School, and the choir conducted was the former and well renowned choral music conducted Maestro Ashely Botha. this experience opened a world of music and endless opportunities in song writing.
