Ilko Birov is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist composer. Originally from Plovdiv, he grew up in Vancouver, BC, and currently resides in Sofia, Bulgaria. Ilko's music has been described as eclectic, impactful, and at times melancholic. His style contains references to the '60s and '70s, though he will assure you that this is not intentional. Birov's lyrics are inspired by both real-life stories and dreams, as well as graphic novels. Lately, he has been increasingly interested in ghost stories and mysterious adventures. This influence can be felt in some of his latest songs, which are yet to be released. Ilko writes and records his music himself and is a fan of the DIY (do-it-yourself) aesthetic.
