Originally trained on classical piano by his mother and some of Indonesia's best classical music virtuosos, Fariz made his own historical moments as he became one of the top Indonesia's legendary Pop Icons of the eighties. Fariz is renowned for his unique talent as a multi instruments musician, being able to play piano, keytar, keyboards, bass guitar, guitar and the drums at a pro level. Fariz is also one of the most accomplished composer and author of modern Indonesia. He wrote not less than 1,760 songs during his heyday years between 1980-2000, producing 21 solo albums. He still has a leading role as one of the most demanded Indonesian performers and producers. During his brilliant career, Fariz collaborated with some of the most famous names in the Music industry, both locally in his native Indonesia as well as internationally. Presently, Fariz lives in the suburbs of Jakarta while still performing and touring with his band, FarizRM Anthology. He also enjoys collaborating with young musicians and emerging talents, as well as occasionally venturing into other art forms.
