In a world where the majority of female artists tend to play on their sexuality or ride a wave of controversy all the way to bank, it's rare to find true talent in its raw, uncut form, but this scarcity does exist. For a prime example, you need look no further than Soca sweetheart, Nadia Batson. Nadia was born in Trinidad & Tobago. She grew up in the town of Tunapuna and is the eldest child of two loving parents. She attributes her humility and super bubbly personality to her humble beginnings. As a child she would write many poems and short stories, a talent, which she would later develop into a successful career. She always possessed a unique tone of voice and a passion for singing and so she decided at a very early age that she wanted to be an entertainer who would write her own songs. In the beginning of her career, she was a major force behind the scenes as a songwriter, producer and one of Trinidad & Tobago's most sought-after background vocalists. She is known as the writer with the magic pen, having written hit songs for Machel Montano, Destra Garcia, Farmer Nappy, Alison Hinds and Patrice Roberts, just to name a few of the artistes out of Trinidad & Tobago. Nadia’s dreams and ambitions are not limited to just singing and songwriting. This multi talented young woman has no plans on slowing down as she continues to expand her legacy.
