Biography

Cleveland rapper Baby Bugsy began representing Gettin Paid Records in 1998, several years before he unleashed his debut, Being Bad Beat Good. He returned in 2002 with Blow: Based on a True Story (2002), an album that took inspiration from the film of the same name about becoming rich after dealing cocaine. Becoming rich definitely figures into Bugsy's lyrical themes as the rappers explores the gangsta side of the genre, unafraid to showcase a hardcore style. Bugsy worked closely with producer Mac D and joined fellow Gettin Paid artists To tha Left, Cheree Deck, Manish Squad, and C-Dell on the label's roster. ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi
