ZakBP is a Rapper, Engineer and Producer from Nottingham, England. Zak began recording tracks at the age of 12 on the family computer, using his dad's headphones with a microphone to record. He taught himself the basics of recording by watching YouTube videos and using GarageBand. Around three years ago, Zak began taking his music seriously and learned about the industry through attending university, ACM in Guildford. He was taught about contracts, copyright, and all areas of the music business. Since then, Zak has had tracks played on BBC Introducing, with high praise from Dean Jackson, who is the host of the East Midland Show. He also played at a sold-out gig at the Boileroom in Guildford, which was an event that Zak and his friends put on and promoted themselves. This experience gave him the confidence to secure a regular slot at Six Barrel in Hockley, performing his latest material. Once a month, the venue Percy Picklebackers hosts an open mic competition where a variety of artists showcase their talents to the audience who are in charge of the voting.
