Costa Rican composer based in Los Angeles. He has written music for several feature films, shorts, documentaries and his concert works have been performed by orchestras around the world. In 2015, the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica premiered his symphonic adaptation of the beloved children's book Cocorí (titled "La Rosa y el Niño) to wide acclaim and he's been commissioned to write works for the 2016 and 2017 season. Also in 2015, he made his Carnegie Hall composition debut with the premiere of "Swashbuckler" by Tromba Mundi. In 2019 he received an Honorable Mention at the National Prize in Composition for his work “Amalgama,” which was premiered by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Heredia.
