Billy Boy in Poison from Copenhagen offers an aggressive but very diverse take on death metal with a lot of melodic elements, memorable choruses and even some classic metalcore vibes. Debuting in 2013 with Watchers (“Death metal album of the year”, Powermetal.de) and following up in 2017 with the acclaimed Invoker ("One of the strongest underground bands of their generation", Metal Temple), the newest release from the Danish band showcases a stronger focus on songwriting and memorability. Produced by Chris Kreutzfeldt (MØL, Cabal, Ghost Iris), UMBRA has a modern and driving soundscape. Billy Boy in Poison is very much a part of the strongly developing Danish modern metal scene, which has spawned many great bands and albums in recent years.
