Biography

Eleonora Matsuno - Ida di Vita, violins Jamiang Santi viola Cosimo Carovani Cello The Quartetto Indaco was born to be the ultimate expression of the thoughts of four paths. Paths that trace their roots far back in the past and in the passions of each of its members. The love for exploration, for the diversity of genres, and for the myriad variations of voices from today, yesterday, and the future are the constant driving force that Indaco always brings to the many stages it graces, with sincerity, freshness, and dedication. The quartet is experienced by its members as an artistic and social laboratory, a circle that includes all those who have accompanied it on its journey. The quartet triumphed at the international competition in Osaka in 2023 (gold medal and two additional prizes), a historic event for the Italian quartet scene. It stands as one of the most interesting and versatile groups of its generation, establishing itself on the international stage with great authority, strength, and vivacity. “A sheen of beautiful sound, immaculate execution, perfection of balance, and an overall sense of refinement surrounded the playing of the Indaco Quartet which also showed itself capable of projecting even the faintest trace of sound without effort and putting forth great volumes of sound with never a trace of ugliness.” (R. Markow) www.quartettoindaco.com
