A tenacious songwriter building a reputation rooted in his innate ability to translate his experiences into gritty street anthems, Brooklyn-based rapper Poppa Da Don is winning over new audiences with each release. Born and raised in Brownsville, the 24-year-old has a commanding presence that demands respect, while cultivating an audience that is drawn to his authenticity and drive. In 2017, his reach grew tenfold, releasing a remix of 6ix9ine's viral earworm "GUMMO," titled "GUMMO CRIPPY." The song quickly cultivated over a million views upon release, even catching the attention of Nipsey Hussle, who soon reached out to the rapper to shoot the music video for "Rap N---as," appearing on his Grammy-nominated album Victory Lap, on Poppa's block. Word of his buzz made it to the ears of Philadelphia's own, Meek Mill, who even offered his co-sign and played Poppa Da Don's track "Smoked" (featuring Abillyon) on the radio. In June 2018, he released Fucc Wit Da Cuz.
