Born in California and raised in New York City, Sadako Pointer has been immersed in music from the early age of 9 years old. From her early career as a third-generation member of the Grammy award-winning Pointer Sisters to her most recent solo debut “Happiness” topping charts across the globe, Sadako’s talent and energy are palpable. Sadako has appeared on The Wendy Williams Show, and on stage with some of the most well-known musicians of the century including Jermaine Jackson, Nile Rodgers, Chaka Khan, The Temptations, Mark Ronson, Sister Sledge, The Bee Gees, Grace Jones, Reverend Al Green in addition to “Night of the Proms” in 2014 and 2018. In addition to her extensive background as a recording artist and dancer, Sadako starred in the 2015 award-winning film “Proxy,” featured at the Palm Springs “Cinema Diverse” Festival, Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, the QFLIX Philadelphia Film Festival, Atlanta’s “Out on Film” festival, and many others. In 2021, Sadako collaborated with Australia’s Super Club Disco (Vicious Recordings) revisiting the classic hit “Happiness” which has taken Australia’s club scene by storm. Sadako’s popularity as a solo artist continues to rise, as “Happiness” takes the spotlight on Beatport, Traxsource, Spotify, iTunes, climbing charts including an ARIA Club Chart #1.
