Okopilwe Gaedie (Born July 14, 1996) known professionally as Academic Deep, is a South African House music producer and sound engineer from Mabopane, Pretoria in Gauteng Academic Deep loves to be involved in anything that includes creativity. He started off his music journey as a young dj at the age of 11years. He got exposure from opening up for legends like Positive K, Dj Hk, Nastee Nev and more at June 16 event in 2013 at pitso’s pub. He also draws inspiration from the likes of Atjazz, Reelsoul Music and more. He has played with the likes of TimADeep, ExteC , SoulBee and more. In 2021 he was named in the top 10 best remixers of the year by the(DHN)Deep House News . He is now working towards a prosperous independent career and keen on collaboration with some of the best producers in SA.
