Still the resident DJ at Sydney superclub Home Nightclub .Peewee Ferris long-spanning career dub him as the nation's greatest DJ. And little wonder, considering the impact he's made down under since first trying his luck on the decks in the mid-'80s. Happy to work both the commercial and underground dance scenes, Ferris has since strutted his stuff at some of the world's top venues -- including, naturally- alongside such acts as the Prodigy, Carl Cox, Moby, Armin,The Chemcial Brothers and Sasha. The man's work has also appeared on a plethora of wide-ranging compilation CDs -- everything from the Ministry of Sound,Central Station, Tinted ,Blackhole Records, Tec UK ,Playstation Xtreme Games album to the very hip Underground Sounds of Australia EP on Perfecto Records . His first album of original tracks, Social Narcotic, came out in 1998 and promptly won praise from critics as one of the best Aussie dance offerings of the year. When Australia needed a composer for the opening and closing ceremonies of one of its greatest extravaganzas of all time, the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, it chose Ferris. He then produced the event's official CD, The Games of the XXVII Olympiad 2000. That same year he released the trance single "Genesis," which made a big impression in clubs around Australia and in the U.K. and also had a national Top 5 hit single with " I Feel it " for Sony Dancepool. Continues to produced music in 2020 with artist such as Vera Blue, Mitch Tambo to name a few....
