Organizing the event series and record label hyphen. vauna entered the underground techno scene as a DJ and live-act in 2016, quickly making a name with his uplifting, genre-crossing sound. Constantly shaping and refining his style, vauna’s live sets and productions have developed into contemporary, hardware-focused techno, defined by strong grooves and aesthetic sound palettes. As a DJ, his track selection is guided naturally by vibe and atmosphere more than genre. Dedication to creating unique arrangements and sounds has always been at the heart of vauna’s musical work. As a classically trained musician, vauna’s musical origins are rooted in experimental and progressive rock music, releasing his first self-produced album at age 19. Fascinated by purist, rhythmically complex techno arrangements and guided by intense nights on the dance floor, he made his way into electronic music shortly after. Following the release of his first EP on the Cologne-based label Apriori Records, vauna has been a regular live and DJ act in Cologne’s club scene before moving on with his studio to Berlin.
