A Baltimore-born hip-hop artist and producer, Tobi Peso became known for his half-melodic/ half-rapped vocal style and catchy beats. His vocals fill the space between him and the production, bending sounds in a way listeners find mesmerizing. 
 Born Hasani Bakari James Jr., Tobi Peso was born and raised in Baltimore county, Maryland. Since middle school he’s been producing and freshman year of high school is when his rap career started to jumped off. With trial and error, he eventually found his melodic/rap style and his variety of production did nothing but support it. Tobi’s EP, Ransom!, was released December of 2018. Featuring guest appearances by Lucas Grey and Jacob Kloud (on the single “Ransom!”) as well as producers DatBoiTaj and Sir Jare, the project was shown love and became a success. 
 Talk about another project came in high demand from fans and peers. While in the midst of working on this, Tobi featured on Legit Chris “Had Your Back,” as well as a collaboration with Jacob Kloud, “Come to Me,” and released the single “Laker”. Seven months later, after the release of his lead single “Blue,” Tobi’s second project was released. Titled Interstellar, the project was sectioned off from love-filled, to mid-tempo, to fast, bouncy tracks. Featuring guest appearances from the likes of Jacob Kloud, Lucas Grey, and Legit Chris, as well as producers DatBoiTaj and Sir Jare, Interstellar became the topic of discussion and analytics quickly rose.
