ThisisDA is a Bristol based experimental rapper and record producer, recognised for his stylistic and prolific output. His extensive catalogue includes multiple releases (Before God, The Threat of Everything) and even boasts a number of collaborations with the viral lo-fi sensation that is Eyedress. In the flesh, the self-proclaimed punk rapper is a seasoned and charismatic performer who has opened for the likes of Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, Grandmaster Flash, Wiki, Kojey Radical, and Moor Mother. Due to his eclectic and innovative approach to artistry, the London born musician has scope far beyond the traditional Hip-hop scene. ThisisDA has played across Europe as a band member for the esoteric playmaker Klein; toured the UK with the alt-pop act Bad Sounds; and collaborated both on record and live (namely BBC Radio 6 Music) with the now disbanded jazz collective Sumo Chief, whose members included Joe Armon-Jones and Oscar Jerome. With plenty more on the horizon, the rap auteur is quietly emerging as a groundbreaking figure within the UK's musical landscape.
