Born in Hamburg and raised in northern Germany, you might think Helena is a typical German singer. She proved that this is not the case at the age of seven, when she began writing her first songs in English - although not with particularly complex lyrics. But the beginning was made: From then on, the Hamburg native sang and wrote lyrics mainly in English and discovered her passion for music. In her youth she was in a band and even in a gospel choir, until she finally decided to concentrate completely on songwriting. Even though music is not her main profession - that's where her second passion comes in: art history - there is always enough time to come up with lyrics and melodies.
