Matthew Brown, known as M_TTHEW is a singer-songwriter and producer living in South Africa. He formed his love for music from a young age and can vividly remember having songs stuck in his head for days on repeat. His first performance was at the age of 8 at his primary school's talent show where he was laughed off of the stage. He never sang again until his first year in high school. Then, in Gr8, M_TTHEW started teaching himself guitar and would sing in his room to himself. Over time, he became more and more confident in his abilities as an artist and eventually joined the worship team at his church at the time, 'St Paul's United'. Over the next 3 years, he became more confident in playing in front of people. He also found success in playing at some small talent shows. Towards the end of his first year of studies at the university of the Witwatersrand, he joined the band 'Oh! Calamity' as their lead vocalist and second guitarist. As a result, he dropped out of his worship team and focused on his new band. During his time in the band, he played several gigs at Rumours Rock City, Hi-Flyerz and a few social events. He also recorded the vocals for the band's single, 'Oxygen' After a year in the band, M_TTHEW left to pursue his own music career. He now works as a songwriter and producer for people all around the world. He kicked off his own career with his first single, Messages of My Heart and has big plans and aspirations for his future career.
