Trumpeter Morris Northcutt is an internationally recognized performer, recording artist, and educator. Known for his pristine tone and intricate phrasing, he is the rare trumpet player capable of transcending his instrument and reaching a mass audience. Driven by an unwavering commitment to his craft, Morris continues to explore new sonic territory and push the boundaries of what a trumpet player can accomplish. A native of Washington State, Morris’s extensive travels have seen him performing and presenting clinics on three different continents. Morris’s most recent project is an album called ‘Tonada.’ Recorded remotely in collaboration with an impressive array of Venezuelan musicians. The album is produced, engineered and arrangements written by Latin-Grammy nominated Justo Morao, also produced by Latin-Grammy winner Danilo Alvarez and mastered by three-time Latin-Grammy winner and two-time American Grammy winner German Landaeta. Tonada is a trans-continental exploration of the unifying power of music.
