Biography

Juan Saiz is a multi-instrumentalist composer and producer born in Santander. He grew up learning and playing classical and traditional music. Saiz's musical journey led him to explore jazz and modern music at the Barcelona Conservatory and the Klask Koninklijk Conservatorium in Ghent, Belgium, where he studied under renowned musicians of the international scene, including David Liebman, Ron Blake, Gary Willis, Mathias Ziegler, Julia Gallego, Bart Defoort, Agustí Fernández, and many others. As a leader of various musical ensembles, Juan Saiz has released six albums, each exploring a wide spectrum of musical styles and influences. His debut album, "Pindio," was released in 2016 to rapturous critical reception. Other notable albums include his solo work inside caves and the trio album "Dr. Bobô." His latest release, "Pindio II" (Leo Records, 2022), has been enthusiastically received by critics.
