Born and raised in New York, J. Horton has always had an affinity to music of substance. When many were creating Hip Hop music focused on financial gain and violence his music had a socially conscious and emotional edge. J. Horton only wants to release songs which provide nourishment. He calls his music “provisions” and as such wants it to fill the listener up and take nothing away. J. Horton has created music with many accomplished producers, such as Darren Sains of Gruvgate Records, Louie Balo of Battlewax Records and DJ Spen of Quantize Recordings. He has performed at many staples of NYC nightlife such Nublu and SOB’s and loves connecting with his audience. J. Horton has and will continue to create and release songs that motivate your conscious, touch your heart and reach your soul.
