Major Makk who's real name is Cavelle Johnson was born in Union City, TN December 9th 1995. Makk moved to Nashville in 2005 with his mother and siblings. He was influenced by by his friends to start rapping and writing songs. He credits T. I Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy as some of the influences to his music. Makk started out in a rap group called "Major League Swag" when he was younger. The group formed because it was something we all could do for fun and no other kids around us were doing it. Later on the group separated because of members moving away. Makk went to Pearl Cohn Entertainment Magnet High School all four years and graduated. Makk started to write more songs by himself. This lead to him learning to record and mix his own music. Makk met Grammy Award Winning producers Cedric and Victor Caldwell at Pearl and had the pleasure of learning from them. By the age of 16 Major Makk is now a songwriter producer artist and engineer. Graduating in 2015 Makk starts to take his musical talents to the next level. Makk continues to do music because it became a passion, something that he loved to do. Makk has heard many comparisons as to artists he sound similar to Meek Mill and Ace Hood to name a few. What makes Major Makk different from other artists would be his sound and the story that he has to tell.
