HYLER’s trilogy comes to a close with his final installment of three chapters. Similar to the previous two albums, HYLER, yet again opens us up to a deeper realm within his universe and allows us to feel some of his greatest emotions whilst understanding some of his most vulnerable thoughts he’s ever expressed. The music within the album flows like a river, one that’s very moody and extensively driven upon the concept of nostalgia, regrets and toxic tendencies. Place that right on top of the usual topics that he normally discusses, and you have the volatile mix that is, “Euphoric Sadness”; Beautifully strung together, yet jam packed with several unexpected twists and turns. This time, HYLER features 2 guests: One in the album opening, lyrically imprisoning track “Devoid Souls” (in which the instrumental samples the main theme music from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2), with Airo Bloom. the second guest touches on a story within the previously mentioned toxic tendencies on “If We Fall” featuring none other than, the musically versatile OriginJ. In conclusion, these three albums that HYLER has released for the world all within only a year, are nothing short of true masterpieces within the Dark R&B genre. This stunt has only been done once before, and that was by HYLER’s biggest musical inspiration, The Weeknd.
