MJ Nebreda is a Miami based artist producer and dj of Venezuelan and Peruvian decent who has an eclectic approach to electronic music. In 2022 MJ dropped “Perreo Contra La Depresión”, followed by the “Sin Pensar” EP which draws from a wide range of pan-Latin and global south influences with the ear worm “Quédate”. “Amor En Los Tiempos De Odio” EP deluxe dropped in the spring of 2023 featuring her work with raptor house pioneer DJ Baba and Miami’s Nick León on the the track “Frida Kahlo”, becoming an instant classic. “Se Siente Bien”and “La Pari” rounded off the EP deluxe with before the next full new body of work “Arepa Mixtape”. MJ has been covered in Pitchfork, Teen Vogue, Mixmag, DJ Mag, NME, Paper, Glamcult, Remezcla, NTS, KCRW and more. In September 2023, MJ released their debut long form project ‘Arepa Mixtape’ with tracks such as ‘Arepa’ featuring Ms Nina & INVT as well as further collaborations with La Goony Chonga, Nick León, Calacote, Mory and more. The project was well reviewed by PitchFork, scoring a 7.8 on their review based scoring system.
