North Carolina bred rapper Big Salute has a point to prove not only for his city of Albemarle, but also to himself. He is determined to let the world know that he’s more than his circumstances. A prominent football star like his fellow Albemarne natives Lee and Denico Autry, Martinus Crump attended Guilford College. Guilford is a small liberal arts college in Greensboro, NC where he obtained an athletic scholarship. After a few semesters in school the “Just Ready” artist was placed in a compromising position where rap became not only intentional but also meaningful. He was forced to leave the books behind and put all his focus on his rap career.
