Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, the music producer/artist CJOY has drawn inspiration from all corners of the musical sphere with influences from the likes of jazz, house, disco, and hip hop alike. His interest for music first began in 4th grade when he discovered the trumpet as his instrument of choice. While still playing in his own time to this day, that passion turned to the side of production after being introduced to Ableton by a close friend while in high school. CJOY has since then graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and continues to grow his career in his hometown of Los Angeles, CA.
