KALIPSO was founded in 2008. We are a hiphop / rap community from Solo City, Indonesia. In KALIPSO there are many rap groups, and when we make music and rhymes together, we release them under the artist name : KALIPSO. KALIPSO is an acronym for Kasunanan Lare HipHop Solo. The word "Kasunanan" is a term for a kingdom that stands in Solo City and we embed it in the name of our community. Apart from producing hiphop music in general, without losing the culture from where we come from, we often make music with a touch of traditional instruments and use the language of our region (Javanese) in the lyrics.
