Pianist, composer, author and singer, Armand Frydman was born in Paris from Polish Jewish parents. He began by studying classical piano with Yvonne Loriod and Colette Zerah at the École Normale de Musique de Paris. Then he studied composition and orchestration with Pierre Janssen, he became his assistant later on for several films soundtracks, in particular of Claude Chabrol. At the end of the 1980s, he resumed conducting studies at the École Normale de Musique under the direction of Dominique Rouits. He composed for numerous films: ''Darling'' by Joan King in 2007, ''Xtrem'' by Abel Folk in 2009 as well as for the series ''Larry and his navel'' (2002-2021) and 'Velvet' (2013-2016). His first album as a singer “d’Amour, d’Embruns et d’Etoiles”, offers a poetic journey through the world and love. A much more rock album will follow: “Heureux Mortels”, resulting from his collaboration with guitarist-drummer Kristens Manni. . Current 2024 sees the release of his album “Fanny”, mainly inspired by his Yiddish roots. The song “Fanny” is about his grandmother, a Holocaust survivor. Alongside this album, Armand Frydman released the album “Meditations” in 2024. It’s a return to Armand’s first passion (composing music). Entirely composed for Piano and Cello, he collaborates with his accomplice “Agnès Vesterman”: “Agnès plays, and my ideas take shape and flesh, like in a dream.”
