Biography

The Beamish Brothers are a rising duo of multitalented siblings whose motto is to turn “politics into pop”. Their latest single, “Nature”, an anthem for self-empowerment and environmental awareness, made waves earlier this year when it became a runner-up to represent Australia in Eurovision, with a snippet teased on live national TV. It’s this fearless attitude which the brothers duo brings to every song they write, promoting concepts such as mental health and LGBTQ+ rights in a way that’s effortlessly authentic to their own experiences. Most recently, the brothers were awarded grant funding from Arts Queensland in support of their next single, which sees the brothers call out corporate greed. Having opened for Tia Gostelow, toured Japan and South Korea, performed on the main stage at the Empire Theatre (Toowoomba), Hidden Lanes Festival and most recently the National Live Music Awards at The Triffid, the brothers are no strangers to the stage. It's at their shows where you can find their growing fanbase singing their songs back to them, a playlist of handcrafted tracks with over 400K streams (all of which were recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by the brothers in their home studio). Today as they gear up to release an anti-capitalism bop in January, The Beamish Brothers are carving out their own unique careers in a landscape where discussing ‘the big issues’ is needed more than ever.’
