loish (pronounced eye-o-ish) was founded by Vaibhav Bhutani in 2012, A prolific producer based in Delhi. At its genesis, it was merely a home studio project which later found some traction upon the enlisting of Abhinav Chaudhary on bass and Anshul Lall on drums, both of them being known figures in the Indian independent music scene. The trio indulged in creating and playing music in the ambient/ post-rock genre of music. Ioish’s sound is a mix of soulful guitars layered with atmospheric textures which are soaked in melodious grooves and riffs evoking a progressive rock feel. The music gives the audience an immersive and moody trip, one that they can engage onto quickly.
