It´s an Arturo Marín solo project (1986, Alicante, Spain), dedicated to the exploration, hybridization and subsequent murder of the darker and futuristic subgenres that emerged from postpunk to rave. It combines elements of old school trance, krautrock, darkwave, minimalwave, progressive metal, IDM or gabber. Medieval, Andalusian and Gothic motifs are often recognizable, so future and tradition go hand in hand, encompassing an extensive register of styles. Passages developed from a traveling narrative, ride to unbridled and thrilling energies, with a direct language. A balance of war and escapism, which builds in the listener an epic and heroic emotional state. He has self-published a total of 13 albums (more than hundred tracks) with SOVIET GYM since 2016, one of them a compilation with SOIL Records (Valencia, Spain). For his DJ show for club scene, he exclusively uses his own songs, sometimes using songs from his other a.k.a.s, serving as a portal to new sound-languages created by him. Their live performances have a notorious expressivity, because he works with live looping techniques, building layers of sound, and in some way their show could be included within progressive rock or electronic punk.
