Melbourne-bred rapper Eloquor has always kept his brand close to mirroring the human condition and has been likened to harbouring the traits of a vigilante of the modern era. However, the longtime Melbourne MC’s raps have never stolen from struggles outside of those he shares with the real heads of Australian hip-hop. Eloquor’s quality storytelling has never strayed far from adding weight to some of Australia’s darkest controversies, cold-cocking his views on Australia Day using no uncertain terms to illustrate his stance on the issues behind the day off work. February, 2013, Eloquor sided with Indigenous Tasmanian rapper Strike Won to knuckle-up on an awareness track titled ‘Invasion’ pushing back a ton of shade to the controversial debate over the British Empire’s hold over our great brown land. Both MCs went hard in the canvas over a head-knocking beat from producer 7’6 (Seven Six). He soon collaborated with video clip director/producer Carl Allison for a forceful visual accompaniment to ‘Invasion’, demonstrating that an Eloquor record is never without a social conscience.
