Mireille Delunsch is a leading French lyric soprano with an adventuresome repertory mostly including early and recent operas and other vocal works. Her debut at the Opéra du Rhin was in Boris Godunov by Mussorgsky and Wagner's Parsifal. Some of her other roles are Folly in Rameau's Platée, Agathe in Weber's Die Freischütz, Mimi in Puccini's La bohème, Micaëla in Bizet's Carmen, Madame Fabiene in Dallapiccola's Volo di notte, the Three Young Ladies in Janacek's Adventures of Mr. Broucek, Marie in Messager's La Basoche, Donna Elvira in Mozart's Don Giovanni, and the Governess in Britten's The Turn of the Screw. She has sung the title roles in Debussy's Pélleas et Mélisande, Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea, Gluck's Iphigénie en Tauride, Armide, Orphé et Euridice, and Lehár's The Merry Widow. Concert appearances include singing Edgard Varèse's Un grand sommeil noir under the direction of Riccardo Chailly in Amsterdam and the Salzburg Festival and the Four Last Songs of Richard Strauss in Bordeaux, London, Lisbon, and Madrid, also under Chailly.
