Harald is an accomplished musician and guitarist known for his versatility as a performer, composer, arranger, recording artist, recording studio engineer, workshop leader and educator. He is fluent in Celtic, lyrical jazz, world, classical and improvised music. Born in 1963 in Wels, Austria, Harald has loved and studied music all of his life. His education includes earning a degree from Anton Bruckner University in Linz, Austria. His teachers include internationally known musicians like Peter O´Mara and he has participated in workshops with Ralph Towner, Afrain Toro, Tuck Andress, Billy Heart, Ron McClure, Steve Coleman... He has performed and recorded with international artists from Europe, India, and the United States who include John Doan, Alan Praskin, Wayne Darling, Wolfgang Puschnig, Karl Heinz Miklin, Adelhard Roidinger, Heinrich von Kalnein, Pawan Kumar, David Darling (ECM) & Arlene Faith, among others. Noteworthy are his performances and recordings with, OutOfBlue (renown as "One of the most original European bands on the jazz scene" - Jazz Festival of Cheltenham, England), John Doan, Ensemble Rija and his SoloGuitarProjects.
