 With roots in Kīhei, Maui, Kamaka Camarillo is a musician and songwriter who continues to hone his craft. He studied Music Education at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and today, is an instructor of guitar, ‘ukulele, and Polynesian Music at Kaiser High School. When he's not teaching, Kamaka performs regularly in Waikīkī, showcasing his musical abilities and deep appreciation for his cultural heritage. His debut album, S.O.U.L., was a major milestone in his career, earning the coveted 2020 R&B Album of the Year award at the renowned Nā Hōkū Hanohano Music Awards. His recent single, "Kūpaʻa," is a testament to his evolving musical talents, earning a nomination for 2022 Single of the Year.
