Biography

Audio Assault is a political techno-industrial hiphop band orignally from Dallas, Texas from 1990-92. In 2020 it was resurrected by scott crow as an international collaboration of punk rock, hip hop and outsider artists. With new tracks and remixes by Meat Beat Manifesto, Leæther Strip, Mark Pistel (Meat Beat Manifesto, Hercules & Love Affair, Consolidated) and more. Audio Assault were one of the first acts to combine hip hop, industrial rhythms, rock guitars with infused political lyrics. Their first single, 'Element of Danger', produced by MC 900 Ft. Jesus, was regional hit charting on KDGE radio. Audio Assault grew out of collaborations and touring between two other acts; Lesson Seven and International Thief Thief. Audio Assault opened for Ministry, Consolidated, Revolting Cocks and Meat Beat Manifesto. In addition to their EP (1991) , they also appeared on two compilations: KDGE 'Tales form the Edge Vol 4.' (1992) and 'Crystal Clear Sound: 1991-1992' (1992). Original Lineup 1990-92: scott crow (vox) , Randy Johnson (vox), Antonio Long (synths, samples), Wynne Martin (synths, samples), David Starfire (guitar, bass, samples), Ron Stanley (turntables), Jason Wolford (turntables). They often performed with other Texas industrial and synth acts including SPY, Nufenkorp The Hunger, T-4-2, KBD, Post Mortem Statement.
