A New Orleans native, Wasso brings his own sound and style to Hip Hop. The sketch artist, turned rapper started his career as just a hobby before eventually gaining attention in the city through open mics and talent shows. Soon after, Wasso would join and become the sole rapper of a local poetry group in Baton Rouge, called "Soul". Together they would perform at local parties and tour around the southern region of Louisiana, Alabama, and Texas. It was there where Wasso first gained a real fan base. Wasso would later go solo and do his own independent tours with his girlfriend/ now wife, Brittany, headlining and even opening for bigger artist such as Neo-soul singer "Avant", the Queen of Hip Hop "Remy Ma", Dj and Artist promoter "Dj YaBoiEarl", and fellow New Orleans native and Queen of bounce, "Big Freeda". During that time, Wasso would partner up with local Reggae musician Docsta and form one of Baton Rouge's biggest freestyle battle tv shows to date, called "The Wiegh In". Wasso would be a judge and co-creator on the show. It lasted 4 seasons before ending behind creative differences. The unique combination of Art, poetry, and Lyrical melody has helped Wasso prevail as a stand out artist with more music and projects to come.
