Before Silver Lake was known as the elite & hip bastion, it was one of LA’s most ethnically diverse and eclectic neighborhoods – it’s where the story of Wear Patterns begins. Gene, James, and Francesca were childhood elementary school friends, in the early 90’s Golden Era.
 In separation, Francesca Harding, now a highly sought-after nightlife DJ and KPFK 90.7FM Radio Host, has toured the world - from the Bahamas, to South Korea, to the UK, as well as appearing on TNT’s TV show, “Agent X”. 
Gene Bautista & James Vember, the brother duo most notable under the Beat Ventriloquists moniker, has produced a number of originals (Sebastian Kill, Shirt, Nina Sky, Rosey), remixes (Josh One, TOKiMONSTA, Gavin Turek, She Wants Revenge, LLgL TNdR, Natalie Walker, Kidneythieves), played live (Goapele, Jon B., Scott Russo, Free Dominguez), and credits/appearances in Film/TV with AT&T, OWN, CBS, VH1, FX, Revolt TV, and more. 
After more than a decade of lost contact, came the serendipitous collaboration between the three - combining their talents and musical sensibilities to create records undeniable for the dance floor. Wear Patterns embraces the wide-ranging cultures and sounds of their Los Angeles upbringing – from dance to hip-hop and everything in between – with a vision distinctly their own. “This project is really reflective of our upbringings,” says Francesca, "something no one label or genre could contain.”
