Cape Town born Matt Prehn started his journey as a DJ back in the mid 90’s -a magical time for South Africa where dance culture was still emerging and vinyl 12”s led the musical movement. Sneaking out to to clubs like The Loft, Boiler Room, Spyce & Unity instilled a deep passion for this thing called House. Since starting out Matt’s 16+ years DJ career has led to gigs in England, France, Switzerland, Poland and the Czech Repulic as well as 3 years appearing at ADE in Amsterdam. Locally he has played at Truth, Imbizo Lounge, Era, African Beer Emporium, Where House Lives, Mzolis, Aruba Lounge and Touchbass. As a producer one of Matt’s biggest achievements has been making the Traxsource Top 100 Deep House Artists in 2016 & 2017. His tracks have found homes with legendary labels including Large Music, i! Records, King Street, Nite Grooves, Tango and many, many more. His venture into the world of music would not be complete without his own labels, Oh So Coy and Rogue Decibels. Nurturing these for over 8 years has allowed Matt the great fortune of supporting and growing a number of international producers as well as a diverse mix of up-coming local artists which is something he thrives on. With over 100 digital releases supported by top artists around the world, 5 limited 12”’s and a number of physical placements on compilations like House Afrika 8 and Lady Lea Wham Bam - there is no slowing Matt down.
