Kent artist Yung Sylveon is undefinable. With work spanning across the genres of rap, indie, alt, rock and metal (best exemplified under their account codeinefiji), their music is experimental, futuristic and highly diverse: a total collage. All of this catalogue is written, produced, mixed, mastered, engineered and arranged by Sylveon theirself. Their 2022 debut release Self Titled is a concept album exploring the concept of unrequited love, drawing inspiration from popular creators such as Kanye West, sampling "Never See Me Again" in the closing song- Never see him again. Since then, Sylveon has branched out through many new releases, finding their own sound and developing a strong experimental instinct. Their second release 1515 was split into two halves, with Side A utilising summery and energetic instrumentals while Side B's production marked the beginning of a transition into a more distinctive avant-garde niche. Late Night (1am) and Siddhartha solidified their dive into the cloud rap genre. Sylveon's common musical trademarks such as panning synths, intense bass and unique vocal FXs are prominently displayed here. Their newest album FOREFRONT keeps up the futuristic vibe of Yung Sylveon’s style with booming bass and aggressively side-chained kicks, juxtaposed with old school vocal samples for the melody’s.
