Biography

“Whistles, tropical beats, latin percussion, carnival rhythms and brass samples galore — Borchi’s sample-heavy mission is to bring the atmosphere of the street carnivals of Latin America, specifically of Northern Brazil and the New Orleans Mardi Gras, to the urban dancefloor.” Originally from the Coyoacán district of Mexico City, Pablo Borchi started out as an MC in Mexican live hip hop outfit Beat Buffet, and one of the masterminds behind the popular Day Off music festival. Ever since, Borchi has undertaken a solo path that has taken him to become one of the most relevant artists of the global bass scene of Mexico, being part of the Red Bull Music Academy in 2015, and constantly touring between Mexico, Europe and Latin America. In 2016 he premieres Borchi y Su Doble Redoble, a concept based live show that brings the atmosphere of the street carnivals of Latin America, specifically of Northern Brazil and the New Orleans Mardi Gras, to the urban dancefloor. At the start of 2018 Borchi y Su Doble Redoble premieres its LP: “Carnaval Callejero Himnos de Club” (Street Carnival Club Anthems).
