Wayne Jackson is some kind of modern era Renaissance man. He moves effortlessly from genre to genre like hickory smoke though the trees. Singer, songwriter, producer, guitar hero, multi-instrumentalist, video maker, actor and martial artist, tattooist. He left his home town of Manchester to study an English in Wales. His older brother was one of the UK's top live sound engineers working for the likes of New Order and Oasis and this obsession with music was passed onto to Wayne. After graduating with a degree, he started his first band The Dostoyevskys. They had a cult live following in the mid 90s and toured with Oasis . He fell in love and relocated to Berlin and released two solo albums and had a world wide hit with Paul Van Dyk on The Other Side. He began to work with Olsen Involtini (Seeed, Peter Fox, Rammstein) and they had a hit with a song written for a radio play based on the KLF’s Manual. The pair were drafted in to produce Bela B’s first two solo albums, with Jackson co-writing a number of songs including 1.2.3. He played guitar in Bela’s live band Los Helmstedt. He formed The Dead Lovers with his long term collaboration partner Lula and they recorded two albums in San Diego capturing the sound of the desert. They have toured tirelessly across Europe the last few years building a substantial live following. His onstage charisma is legendary and his performances are always impressively powerful and quirky, frequently laced with irony and humor.
