Pieces in the repertoire of this Italian choirmaster, violinist and composer include a minimum of 160 vocal works -- motets, Offices, and Masses -- with arrangements that employed up to 17 voices, and, parts for violins. Buonamente's instrumental works inlcuded sinfonias, sonatas, and dances. The various pieces he composed for strings include three-part arrangements -- earlier works -- and two to six part pieces in later works. Some of his compilations have been lost (3 of seven books).
